TransLeon Interpreting is currently expanding our network and seeking a highly qualified, freelance Tagalog interpreter for on-site legal and medical assignments. We partner with dedicated linguists who maintain the highest professional standards, strict adherence to confidentiality, and a deep mastery of specialized industry terminology.
As an on-site representative of TransLeon Interpreting, you will facilitate critical dialogue between English and Tagalog speakers, ensuring that every conversation is conveyed with exact precision and cultural fluency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide exact, impartial on-site interpretation for medical appointments (including IMEs, workers’ compensation, and clinical care) and legal proceedings (depositions, arbitrations, and hearings).
* Strictly adhere to professional ethics, attorney-client privilege, and HIPAA privacy regulations to protect sensitive patient and client data.
* Arrive promptly for all scheduled assignments to navigate facility check-ins and review instructions prior to the appointment time.
* Note: All on-site dispatches are billed and compensated with a standard 2-hour minimum.
Requirements:
* Complete, native-level fluency in both English and Tagalog.
* Demonstrated professional experience in medical and/or legal interpretation.
* Strong understanding of complex medical terminology and legal phrasing.
* Professional certification or formal linguistic training is highly preferred.
* Unwavering commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and professional conduct.
